How to Add a Few Finishing Touches

The Finishing Touches

Adding finishing touches to a property before it goes on the market for sale or rent is a very worthwhile investment. It transforms ordinary spaces into stunning spaces. In this blog I will take you through how I added a few finishing touches to a recent refurbishment project.

Design Scheme Inspiration

The design scheme for this refurbishment project was informed by the lovely fireplace tiles and the edging tiles in the bathroom.

The Kitchen

A new kitchen was installed in this property. A classic white shaker style was chosen, with sage metro tiles and a solid oak worktop. The old kitchen had very little cupboard space so the new kitchen included an extra cupboard. We also included a small table and chairs to present this room as a kitchen diner.

Accessories were added to the kitchen to create a welcoming atmosphere. The items were chosen to tie in with the design scheme in the lounge and bathroom.

Lampshades and Curtains

Pendant lampshades, curtain poles and curtains were added to the lounge and the bedroom. Curtains with a bit of sparkle were chosen to go with the walls and the feature wallpaper. A soft calming sage green tree design was chosen for the bedroom… and the final touch, a beautiful ceramic vase with some faux gypsophila.

I do hope this blog has given you some inspiration to have some fun giving your property a makeover.
